I am just so impressed with Ron. After setting a very high national record of 27 points in Singapore, he improves on the previous NZ worlds score by two points.

Best of all he stayed ahead of our Trans Tasman rivals - fantastic !!

Ron's the man!!
Great work Ron. You must be stoked. This New Zealand team is holding it's head very high with the excellent result in Singapore and now Ron performing so well in the shooting. Despite the criticism, it appears this was the right team to represnt NZ

I too do applaud Ron Sandilands consistent performances at both Singapore and Pattaya. He did indeed beat the 15 scored by Michael Rocks in 2006 but in all modesty, I would like to mention that I scored 23 in 2004. Regards, Ian Baker.

Big congratulations to Ron on his shooting.
Can someone tell me what I'm missing with the "Live Results" on the Pattaya site please - there appears to be nothing up at all for yesterday's play?

Hi Claire,
click on the "programme overview" on the Pattaya website and you'll see that there has been no pool play yet (assuming I've read it right).

Day 1 was just the dinner and welcome. Yesterday was just the first round of the shooting, today is the 2nd round for the morning, and then at 3pm (7pm our time I think) will be the first round of pool play. So I don't think you've missed anything yet. Start checking the scores after 7pm and hopefully you should start to see some action.

Thanks Mau(rice?) They are only 5 hours behind aren't they? I read it that pool play should've started at 3pm (8pm our time) on the 20th and today's the 21st (or am I having a Senior Moment!?) . Ah well, will just keep an eye on it. They haven't done stirling work on that site to date so maybe live results were a bit much to hope for.
Cheers, Claire

No Claire, I'm the one with the senior moment - "whaddaya mean it's the 21st today?!!!".

The website link to the live scoring only went up a couple of days ago, so I was hopeful they were going to go "live". Guess it was a bit much to hope for. Might have to pop over to YouTube to see if there is any action yet. Someone has put up a minute or two of the welcome dinner, nothing else yet.

Maurice, If you come across any YouTube clips, let me know the link/s, and I will embed the clips into our Blog.

Don't think my previous post arrived Tom. Ian Baker put me onto the French site which has up to date results, it's:

Fingers crossed for the game to come against Australia as we've only won 1 of 4 so far, so need to win that one. In Pool A Madagascar is the one to watch - giving Thailand a run for their money.
Cheers, Claire

Congratulations to the team on their qualification for the second round on countback!
Taiwan's win over Japan allowed New Zealand to go through despite their loss to Australia.
Good luck for the next round!
