Thank you to Peter and Michael. I have played for many years and had many seconds and thirds it is quite strange that i have decided to walk away from the sport and then i when my first regional title. i have meet many good people playing petanque and i have meet some people i would shoot if they were in the trenches with me. Thanks to those who i consider my friends and apologies to the many that are jumping for joy right now knowing that they dont have me questioning them when they make their own personal agendas and dont care about the game.

Good luck everyone.

It is a crying shame we lost such a hard working volunteer to our sport. Myles has put in endless hours in Wellington during the many inter regional matches. Myles’s frustration with the administration of our sport, I think comes again from PNZ refusing to answer any questions he and others have asked. We are now loosing the people who are asking the hard questions. Many regular contributors to this Blog have thrown in the towel as well. Myles has placed a message for you on the "What's New" page of our Wiki.

We can only hope that the new board includes Dirk and that the board collectively takes a much firmer stance against those with hidden agendas.

I am optimistic and believe we will see a change in culture within our sport. A change for democracy and respect for the members - yes, the members of PNZ do have rights.
